Tiny detail, big project
See extra for the building this joint is part of.
The Gridshell building at the Weald and Downland museum. Designed so the space could be used to lay out frames etc from old buildings being moved to the museum. The frame was built from green oak, kept damp to allow it to flex into the curved shape which gives the building it's distinctive look.
Thanks to Incredibish for hosting Tiny Tuesday
and to our son for the link to the engineering info for the project.
