A day of two halves…
Actually many parts!
What a day!
8.30 am and we were sitting outside The Chocolate Factory, Bournville as our tickets were for 9am and we definitely couldn’t be late!!
Ottie enjoyed it.. she was very excited .I’m trying not to be negative!
Next on the list was the Lego Shop in the Bull Ring. A purchase was made and completed within an hour when we got home!
Next stop was a visit to Waterstones. She found a book she wanted to read and settled down to read it, oblivious of everything g around her!!!
Lunch was a picnic sitting watching the Bull that had been made for the Commonwealth games, now at New Steet Station. She very concerned by a man asleep in a bench and a homeless man asking for money. She wanted to give him the half sandwich that she had left!
Another visit to another book shop on way home and grandma was by now somewhat fatigued!!
But there was a lot of playtime to be fitted in before dinner!
However there was a tractor digging up next doors garden.. not to be missed!!..
For me it was a day of watching my son being the best daddy..knowing when to say no, when to praise, when to remind, when to calm, providing such a secure, loving framework for growth.
