The zoo

I took the boys to a local-ish zoo today. The idea was for the husband to do a half day working which all helps save holiday. Except he couldn't get through all the various security factors to allow him to access his system from abroad - despite having cleared working from abroad before going.

Was slightly stressful driving alone and sorting out where to park, but I was delighted when the gentleman I asked if it was OK where I had parked replied it was all fine - and that my French is very good - which it really isn't! Zoo was great, boys loved it and we meandered around very happily. We weren't so keen on the huge Burmese Python though. 
 
Back, some chill out time and off to a different set of pools that are on site - and much nicer (although no slides, so that opinion is age dependent!). We had the outside pool to ourselves for ages and the eldest set himself a challenge of swimming the length of the 50m 'lap pool'- which goes from.oitside to inside - which he did! 

Snakes and ladders after dinner, which we've done every evening. Somehow one of the boys always seems to win.
