Return from Greece

We left the hotel at 8 am, spent 2 hours in the coach to the Thesolonica Airport taking in the beautiful green countryside as we climbed up and down the hills on the Aristotle peninsula.

After a speedy checking in we had a coffee and sandwich, before heading to our gate. I loved watching the planes and the house martins who were nesting in the eaves of the terminal roof. 

Then we finally boarded our plane. It had been delayed, so we missed our slot and had to wait on the runway for another slot. All in all a 1 1/2 hour delay. Nothing we could do anything about, so I took the chance to enjoy reading my book. The flight was without a hitch, and after a delay, waiting for our bags, we picked up the car and drove home on M25 rush hour traffic, finally arriving home exhausted, in time to watch Spring Watch. Then an embarrassing message on the answer phone from Jan about payment for the guest room: I messaged Chris and hopefully it is sorted. We  shall see. A long and tiring day.
