Bus trip to Ouranopoli village

We visited Ouranopoli village which was so authentic Greek. We are so lucky to have chosen this holiday destination as it is so remote that it is unaffected by commercialism. The village has several shops selling souvenirs for the monks to buy, icons and incense burners. Something that l have not seen before. Apart from that there is a tiny harbour dominated by this ancient building, several tavernas, a church a school and houses with beautiful plants, trees covered in blossom. The people are so friendly, for eg we bought an ice cream cone, and were offered a table in the taverna to eat it then offered a glass of iced water!
