A Hint of Buttercups

Bank Holiday, so the weather forecast is for heavy showers, possibly thundery at times. I do a wee daunder around the park before coffee, it is very quiet. Edinburgh schools had their day off on Victoria day, so all the kids are at school. One home I do a bit of tidying up around the shed. Partner works in the front garden sweeping up the birch tree catkins. As soon as we finish and head inside, a heavy rain shower arrives. Timing is of the essence.

After lunch, every time the weather appears to be clearing up, the next rain heavy shower arrives. So quiet afternoon in the house. After afternoon coffee, it appears the showers have finished for the day, so partner and I head out for a walk. This scene caught my eye with a graduated filter of buttercups. After getting home there are a couple more heavy showers.
