Getting in a fankle

A busy day.
Keepfit, then interviewing another candidate for the Kids' Club post, then the shopping. 
In the afternoon I went to the sewing class, someone couldn't go, and it was a pleasant diversion to do something creative.
Unlike the knitting! I got to a certain point and then just can't see how the lacy pattern works. There's a chart and written instructions but they seem to contradict each other and neither match so I'll have to get out some squared paper and draw it out - but not now.
In among the actual doing of things there were some issues with other people that seem insoluble, all I can do, I think, is be a listening ear.
