Brooklands
Went to SW London today to conduct a research interview for a project we have at the moment. On the way home I stopped at Brooklands Museum. I have wanted to visit for a long time so I took my opportunity to whizz around and stop in the cafe to catch-up with emails, before doing battle with the M25
The main photo is the car that set the record around the old pre-war banked circuit, powered by a Napier aircraft engine.
As well as having a Concorde, in the extras, I have included some lovely details, in the Gents toilets they had even preserved the old urinals, which were behind a locked barrier! The walk up to the remaining portion of the banked circuit was quite evocative, especially as I was alone, with nature slowly reclaiming the crumbling concrete.
