perfect prints
Today I was running an art workshop for people with visual impairment. We were doing relief printing with a few different types of techniques.
This is Anne holding one of her prints. This was created by using a type of small cell polystyrene that could be marked with a stick, then instead of using ink we printed it with PVA glue and covered it in embossing powder. Once heated the powder melts to produce a raised tactile surface.
It was a good fun afternoon, and I learnt a lot from the group as well. It's got me thinking about other workshops that we can do... a bit of moulding and casting next I think..
