Wild rose
Summer hot today. Heard the pretty song of a lark sparrow this morning at sunrise. Walked this afternoon to see how many more wild roses were beginning to bloom. Stopped and watched and listened to a mocking bird but got no successful shots (like this one). I wasn't close enough.
Musing on one of the usual observations that new blippers say they notice and see more when looking for a blip. Then I came across this observation by Elliott Erwitt, "Good photography is not about 'Zone Printing' or any other Ansel Adams nonsense. It's just about seeing. You either see, or you don't see. The rest is academic. Photography is simply a function of noticing things. Nothing more".
Ansel Adams did say something to the effect of knowing where to stand and that the important part is the person behind the camera.
