Scrap needle case

Inspired to play with embroidery for the first time in my life I have used a scrap of fabric that came as a sample to stitch on.. it is only 5x4 inches or there abouts and made of an upholstery weight material. I have used more scraps of felt and patchwork material to make a little needle case.  I am so bored of the packets of needles with paper backs and plastic fronts that fall off which I have bought over the years and live in my sewing drawer in bits..  now I can throw the packets away and know my needles are safe in this little case.  I may do more embellishments but thought I would share it for now. I have always owned a little tiny needle case but it only holds about 6 needles...  (to be honest I probably dont need more than 6 but.. you know how it is!!)

Little Jasper has gone back to the boat today so the house will feel very quiet..
