Dianthus

Would like more of these as they are a lovely colour and go nicely against the stonework.

We had friends for coffee and cake, they have been to our house for many years and are always to time. We had told them to park in the road due to driveway issues and use the other steps. With their non- arrival I started looking through the window and saw them coming on foot with no car in sight. They decided to leave it in nearby carpark and find the path to our abode, which they somehow missed and ended up in the fields not knowing where to go. It caused great merriment and I insisted going back with them to the car.

Better news of the day, driveway boss called (had no contact no.) and extremely sorry, bla bla bla, extreme family problems (don’t know whose family) plus wet weather, but tomorrow for sure the bottom layer will be done. Unsure about finish as, again, if it is unduly wet will be delayed, but hopefully by Sat. We have had a dry and windy day until 16.30 hope it is not prolonged.
