Pietà

These two were sitting on a bench in the corridor, obviously racked and wrenched by pre-exam anxiety. 

I asked them permission to take this photo.  They collectively shrugged.  I said it looked like a Pietà.  They were nonplussed.  I rallied my energy , thinking I am in a school after all, and explained about pity and compassion.


The girl scoffed and gave the boy a brisk whack round the ear.
