Picture in a Picture

I used one of my mother's paintings to do this.  It was digital group today and we tried a Blue Lightening TV tutorial .

It was much harder than we at first thought and by the end of the afternoon , working with Geof we were in a mess!  I gave up on his method and just used the frame and the head by themselves with a black gradient from among my saved layer styles on the bottom layer. That gave the above!  But the background to each image is missing!  Hence my choice of gradient for the back !!!
