Chatsworth House

A quiet morning, then in the afternoon we visited a friend of Rachel's who as an artist was taking part in an "open studios" event.  She had some remarkable abstract paintings.  At first they didn't particularly "catch me" but as time went on they grew on me.

After that we strolled along the River Derwent ending up at Chatsworth House for coffee.  The house is certainly an impressive sight as you draw near along the river.  As the shot shows a beautiful day, good enough to make you think it was late May unlike most weather we have been having.

In the evening, probably inspired by the studio visit a painting session happened.  The extra is Emily, Daniel and Clickychick busily at work
