In a jam

These large and rather delicious strawberries (variety Magnum) had been on sale over the weekend but many packets were left and near their best before date.

So when I saw them reduced to a third of their original price I bought enough to make jam.

This morning the sun came out so I enjoyed it in between emails. I even got the grass cut. This afternoon the rains returned with a vengeance. The dog on his afternoon walk made it to the corner before he decided he’d had enough! Jam made.

At least the rain had eased a little bit by the time I went to check the church was locked up. The weather forecast this evening suggests that we may have had the wettest spring on record. I believe them!
