Another full day at the office!
After completing my usual morning duties to God and to the King I organised the interior of Amadeus for the return trip to and drove back home in Claris my Yaris.
Organising auntie was the first priority, she had just surfaced and so a warm drink and a rich tea biscuit was first on the agenda.
Catching up on her dreams has always been fun and we laugh.
After medication and breakfast I stripped the bed and tidied the kitchen and bathroom. Laundry room was on the go and sheets in the tumble dryer.
I’ve been receiving threatening texts from my cousins recently and today they sent me another one including an invitation for me to attend an appointment they had organised regarding my mental health. I accepted and passed with flying colours.
Back into their court.
I cycled into Bideford on the road to see the virtually completed new bike, when I arrived it was on full display in the front window of the shop. Minus its pedals and mudguards.
A quick chat before the journey home along the Tarka Trail dodging the family groups that had probably not ridden their bikes since last summer?
Passing through town to avoid the speedway track along the main road I bumped into two fellows playing a few drum beats, out with the echo harp and bingo music, rhythm and some banter burst forth.
Ayodele and David are performing their own style of theatre in the Plough theatre in town on Friday afternoon at 16:00.
I was duly invited and am looking forward to seeing them and engaging in their creative expression.
Back to the campsite for 20 lengths in the swimming pool before returning home with Amadeus and a sprint over the road to the dentist.
After recovering from the shock of a possible £3400 bill I staggered back across the road to home.
A message from Lorraine to ask if I could look after Logan for a few days lifted me off my dental shock and we met nearer the commons to allow Logan to let off some steam. Some interesting discussion regarding life’s challenges before I met up for a thoroughly enjoyable chat with Reverend Rob to discuss some issues and church life.
Back home to prepare scrambled eggs on toast for Auntie, myself and Logan (less the toast).
‘Singing in the rain’ was auntie choice and I watched with one eye open as I was staying awake by pretence.
A lovely chat with Lorraine ended my day with Logan snuggled up beside me.
I popped down to tuck auntie in and wished her a good night before climbing into my wonderful new bed.
