Did more ‘deep cleaning’ in the morning- downstairs loo, hall and sitting room. Guess I should do the kitchen tomorrow then all should be sorted for another year or do! It wasn’t raining so had a walk around the garden to see what was happening. The weed killer I applied to the block paving last week doesn’t seem to have made any difference! Had some lunch and then set off to East Leake to meet C . Had a browse around the town , particularly the craft shop ( which was the main reason for going). Although its not my sort of thing I was really taken with how lifelike this pet portrait was. It had just bern completed by someone attending a workshop. Went for coffee and a chat afterwards, and I called in at Morrisons on the way home for some basic terracotta plant pots. They’d sold out of the size I wanted though.Got home, fed the cats and had an early supper and then got my things ready to go to Bridge, but discovered I had mislaid my keys. Found them after about 10 minutes, but it meant I had to rush the drive and just arrived in time. It was the first time I had gone to a session with people not from my class. I partnered DW, and we were very pleased to come third! It was a very gentle session and the other players were very friendly and helpful, so I will probably go again next week.
