Nuclear control

Had the day off today and went with my mate for a walk around Greenham Common, where the US stationed nuclear armed cruise missiles, and a bunch of women camped outside in protest. There isn't much left today, but the back blip is the old control tower, which is closed on Tuesdays, so only the outside to see. It was a bit grey and grim all day, so not very exciting at all.

We had some bread an soup in a trendy cafe on the business park that is on the edge of the old base which has an art gallery upstairs and the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, but both were closed - Tuesday wasn't a good day to visit at all!

It was good to stretch the legs in the fresh air and have a chat with my friend. After doing this I also set his home computer up so he can use one of my servers to VPN into France and stream French TV (bike sports mostly) if he wants.
