Winners

This evening I attended a tour of the wonderful gardens withing Dumfries Railway Station. The beds and areas on either side of the platforms are looked after by a group volunteers: the Dumfries Adoptive Railway Gardeners (DARG). They have been doing an amazing job, so much so they won the ScotRail In the Community Gold Adopted Station of the Year Award 2023.
Frank, the lead volunteer gave us a history of the garden areas and the recent achievements and their partnership with ScotRail.
It's a wonderful place with different sections, like woodland, Alpine, as well as some edible plants!
