Fiery sunset

Sometimes one just happens to catch the moment. Like this photo tonight from my evening walk. A few seconds later and the layers of cloud had gone.

It’s been a day catching up with Hay Festival online. I wonder how many of us had heard of 
Fort McMurray, Alberta , the bub of Canada’s oil industry and  the site of a devastating  fire in  2016 which resulted in nearly 90,000 people having to be evacuated .
 John Vaillant, talked about this in his book “Fire Weather: a true story for a hotter world”. He says we must prepare for more incidents like this as the world hots up.

If we continue to burn fossil fuels, we are sleepwalking into a world on fire.
