Country

Not my pick as the last country night we went to, at the Playbouse, felt a lot like the cast of Deliverance so much so we actually left at half time. :)) after a long day at work I wasnae in the mood for country!

Tonight at the Festival Theatre ‘‘twas a mixed crowd with stetsons, cowboy boots and sensible jumpers on show. Dolly, Johnny, Kenny, Glen, Don and Patsy lookienotlikies did a stomping show, great singalongs and not a banjo in sight. Funniest moment was those that got up to dance at the front. Dancing to country music is so easy, it’s walking but side to side with your arms as if for a ceilidh. Obligatory head sway side to side. Seeing a row of pished women and one huge guy all doing exactly the same was hilarious particularly as the very tame bouncers who all looked like they were called Marjory, we’re struggling to get them to sit back down and eventually gave up and joined in.

Surprisingly good night assisted by a bag of Revels.
