The milliner’s apprentice

This was the hat that Dorsetb ‘helped’ me make in Holt.
It started life as a charity shop sunhat, see extra. And I’ve trimmed it with some ‘twiddles’ ( my new term for ostrich quills, thanks to RipItUp) and a leather poppy that I’m teaching at a workshop tomorrow .

So the actual raw materials had a very low cost, but there are many hours of work in it.  I think it might be my current favourite.
