Bridge at the Ferry Terminal

Today there were five of us. Four played bridge most of the day while the fifth did research a new mattress. Then off she went to look at some. When she came back she had big news. The jury in the Trump trial came back with its verdict. Guilty in all 34 counts. I was gobsmacked. I was sure at least one juror would have caused a hung jury. But no. All 12 unanimously agreed. Guilty! And all five of us were happy to see Trump finally get some consequences for his actions. We played until 3:00 and when I got home I checked in with Shelly to see if he had heard the news. He hadn’t and was also amazed and glad. I have no idea what effect his guilty verdict will have on the election. But in this case I believe justice was served.
