It’s a Chevy ……
……but it’s not a Corvette or a Camaro, it’s a 1940s Blitz!! Tens of thousands of these were produced during WW2 as general transport trucks with either Chev or Ford engines and a variety of cabin designs with this style being the most common and in my opinion, the most famous. After the war, thousands of them were sold off around the world as they had become surplus to military requirements. Farmers flocked to pick them up at disposal sales and many are still running (maybe not this one!)
I’m my early teens I learnt to drive one of these on my uncle’s farm near Scone. It had no synchro and no brakes so I needed to learn fast! Once you’ve mastered a crash gearbox, you can drive anything - it’s probably the most effective anti theft device ever invented!
