Freedom

Northallerton High Street was closed off this morning so that the boys and girls from RAF Leeming could have their Freedom of Northallerton Parade. They have had the freedom of the town since 1978.

Apart from the band, marching, inspections etc a Hawk training jet from the base flew overhead. My collage gives an overall feel to the event. There was a good many townsfolk there to cheer them on. 

I nearly missed the show. I had only booked a visit to the opticians in the morning and came across the event when I went for the appointment.
