High Moor
Hill of Wirren sits on the NE Highland Line.
An amazing amount of wildlife today.
Started with scores of noisy lapwing and oyster catchers, then 4 hen harriers on the summit, mountain hares, red grouse and on the descent the sky was full of curlews, in aerial combat with red kites. The remains of a crashed WW2 RAF Liberator added poignancy.
