Friday: Jacob’s Ladder

Woke up with a very sore and painful arm after yesterday’s Covid vaccine. Weather better in that there was no rain, we had lovely blue sky, sunshine and a fresh breeze which was perfect for drying some washing outdoors.

Moved some small plants around in the garden, saw blackbirds collecting earthworms from the borders and the grassy areas.

Around 7pm we saw a pair of Bullfinch who started off in the forget-me-nots as the goldfinch did but they moved onto the seed pods of purple leaved violets and spent a long time munching on them :-)

Watched the Robert Powell 1978 version of “The 39 Steps”.
