To Edinburgh and the Apple store. Mrs Rex's iPhone has a problem which an Apple Genius managed to solve in five minutes. Hopefully it's a permanent fix. A late lunch at Contini's then a quick tour round the Scottish Gallery, which Mrs Rex hadn't visited, before heading home via the Gyle for essential purchases such as sports socks.

That may well be a futile gesture on my part.
