Since recent rains have turned my back garden into a mini Venice, how apt that I’ve just finished a book about the place! Less about the place and more about the mid fifties author and his wife giving up their jobs in Edinburgh and starting anew in Venice! Was it a brave or crazy thing to do, that made it broke them?
