MONTECARLO ( plus two extras)
The pretty mid-engined Montecarlo was unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1975. The first series cars, such as the example Shown, remained in production until 1978, were badged Lancia Beta Montecarlos, and powered by a 1995cc Lampredi inline four-cylinder twin-cam motor of 118bhp. The most noticeable differences between these and the Second series cars built from 1980 to 1982 were their 5.5Jx13 inch so called ‘bow tie’ alloy wheels and the rear buttresses, which were solid rather than open.
