Jakey in the evening.
He likes the warm evenings.

It's almost 11.00 pm now and it's 64 degrees.
My 13 year old son asked me tonight why we get one week of summer when other countries get several months.

I replied that I seemed to remember we had proper summers when I was young.

We did, didn't we?

Did I imagine hazy, warm summers interspersed with the occasional thunderstorm to break the heat wave, with temperatures that used to make the Tarmac bubble?

Those were the days when Tarmac used to bubble!

The Tarmac bubbles are no more.
They must be using a different recipe these days.
