Demolition

I stopped by Lincoln University this afternoon to see the progress with demolition of the Burns Wing. Opened in 1976, R worked in that building for all but about eight years of his career. I studied for my masters there. Badly damaged in the earthquake, it has been awaiting refurbishment or rebuilding ever since. I wonder how long it will be before the new building is ready for its official opening.

The extra was from my walk up the hill this morning. The sky wasn't as bright as over the last few days, so this is a view of Lyttelton Harbour and Quail Island from the top of Mount Pleasant.
