Ripple

We took the dogs for a walk round Strichen Lake this morning and a lovely day it was.
I was relieved to see the four cygnets still there.
However, I got an even more pleasant surprise when a female mallard appeared with her “troupe” of very recently hatched ducklings.
They made me smile even more when they started “skimming” over the water.
I took lots of photos but I decided on this one because of the cuteness of the duckling of course, and the reflection of the leaves on the ripple.
