Island Idyll

Early morning kayak to the deserted Island of East Skeem to rendezvous with friends who had camped there overnight. The sea was like a mirror, the views all around breathtaking. The Island has two abandoned farmhouses and an older deserted homestead. Cows graze on the hilly pasture and a herd of wild goats spent the day on one of the headlands. The water was cold enough but after that initial trauma of getting in it was heavenly. A perfect day!
