Back blip

The obligatory first shot of our tomato plants on the roof terrace and here you can see the first flower. Fingers crossed. We have two plants in each of these three pots and another two on a pot on another table. All in full sun.

I had a trial class with a student, M, this afternoon in an energy company. It’s f2f and a nice 15 mins walk from our house to their offices. I realised that this was my first f2f work meeting of any kind since the start of the pandemic! We seemed to get on well and HR have confirmed that we’ll go ahead with the classes. This class came through an ex-student, which is always nice. He’s quite advanced, C1, and wants to focus on speaking with a focus of any grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary work that emerges from our conversations. I’ve already started to collect sector-related articles, videos etc that he can watch pre-lessons and we then discuss in class.
