St Andrews

This is a lovely city with interesting and historic buildings plus warm atmosphere. We stopped here to enjoy the harbour plus a few other the sights - castle and Abbey.
Castle invaded by large group of foreign tourists!! Ruined Abbey still has many stories to tell - including the one written here. The tower in the background has lost most of its exterior!
A visit to Montrose tomorrow which is where my mother was born and lived until she was eight, when the family moved to Cambridgeshire.
