Spotted

We went to Ard na Mona Woods for a walk, I am not really a fan of it as you can hear but not see the birds in the woodland. However, I was using a new app on my phone & was able to tell the racket I heard was juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker calling. Eventually, I got a view of it & this photo, high up in the trees.
We also saw 2 Birds Nest Orchids, but they were past their best.
After the lovely weather yesterday, today was very overcast & drizzling at times.
