Sakaiminato
This morning we were in the port of Sakaiminato which is well down towards the westerly end of Honshu. We drove inland to the wonderful Adachi Museum of Art. Its main exhibit is its garden which is consistently rated the best garden in Japan. The strange thing is that it is not possible to enter the garden, it must be viewed from the windows of the museum as in the main photo. Some other vistas are in the first extra. There is also a great 20th century Japanese art display which sadly I wasn’t allowed to photograph so I bought the guide book.
We also went to Matsue Castle (second extra) which is one of the few remaining Edo Period castles.
Finally I thought I should catch up with my collection of drain covers (third extra)!
