Fossils
Last day at the NY Hall of Science for Professional Development workshops. We learned about learning conversations which is my favorite type of leaning. I loved learning actual techniques I can use in my classroom and in life with children and even other adults. This has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to come back in August.
By the way this is a Sheep's skull and the space between their front teeth and back teeth is called a diastema which is where they used to have canines but since they are herbivores they simply did not need them anymore and they phased out in their evolution. They also only have teeth on the bottom of the front of their jaw and a dental pad on the top so as to help them pull up grass to eat. Fascinating things you can learn from skulls ^-^
