Orchids

I had a hygienist appointment this morning. She’s brilliant but brutal so I decided to treat myself to a half hour over at the wildlife trust reserve not too far away.

The orchids are just starting to bloom and will be far more numerous in the coming weeks. Last year they were at their most spectacular on the longest day. 

My main photo is of Yellow Rattle and the extra, an early purple ….
