A strong wind…

blew most of the day, which was good as it stopped the temperatures burning and made walking a joy! There are lots of Sandpipers here this year, one on the shoreline here too! Oystercatchers, Curlew and Lapwings also around. A good year for Cotton Grass and some areas are white with it. Behind the house, the Rockrose has covered ten times its usual ground and the Fragrant Orchids are just opening. First thing as I enjoyed coffee in the garden I was surprised to see a pair of Mallard standing on the roof in the sun! Later, cutting the grass, a toad crawled into the border.
