Momma and her baby carrier

I worked in the garden this Friday afternoon weeding and watering, and as I closed the gate to go inside, a white ball caught my eye. Momma politely waited until I got my macro from the kitchen for her glamour shot. Oh, the gleam in her eyes!! The spider sack is as big as my thumb. She was obviously a veteran of some skirmish, but having two missing limbs didn't slow her down. She was big!
