Valerian
It was a lovely day today and warm with it. It was a day to catch up with all the laundry, so the washing machine was working overtime. Once I had put the second big load on, I popped out for a walk around by the river. I bumped into a friend who was walking her dog, so we stopped for a chat, then not much further on I bumped into a friend who was out with his dad enjoying the sunshine. I had another nice chat, and it was nice to see his dad who has been poorly for a long time. I came home via the supermarket and then made lunch.
I pottered, then sat in the garden in the sunshine and read (and finished) my book. Later TT and I went to a local garden centre for some compost and picked up a couple of wee plants while we were there.
In the evening we went to the Corn Exchange to see a play about the Miners’ Strike – The Collie’s Shed. It was very intense and powerful. It was ll over in an hour (as it had been developed as a fringe show). We were going to go gfor a drink, but as we hadn’t eaten we decided to just head home and get some food –a quick and easy late tea.
TT then settled down to another James Bond film – A view To A Kill. BB was out at R’s. I had another early night – I think sitting in the sun had worn me out!
This valerian is growing on the parapet of Victoria Bridge, high above the weir.
