Hill Top Ramblings

Sea watching

We had another lovely day here at Flamborough. We started off by visiting Sewerby Hall. This fine old property is owned by the local council and was restored by them. There are formal gardens, woodland walks, fun activities and the house to look around.
Bonnie had her first ice cream, which she thoroughly enjoyed !
We went on to Flamborough head and walked along the cliffs. More puffins, and spectacular views of seals, so many you couldn’t count them. We saw some hauling out on the beach.
We came back for some supper, and spent some time looking at the wildlife over the hedges. There were numerous hares, mostly in pairs. Deer were lazing about, geese grazing, and the yellowhammer singing in the bushes. It’s really like stepping back in time here! There is even a nest of barn owls, although they didn’t show up this evening.
