Stellar's Jay, Mill Canyon, CA

I went back to the Lewis's Woodpecker nesting site today to see if I could get any better photographs than the last time. They were still there, the chicks screeching ferociously from the nest cavity, but if anything the photos I took turned out worse than the last time. In fact the only halfway decent picture I came away with was of this Stellar's Jay, a bird whose beauty is always striking, no matter how many times I see one.
