Down memory lane

Reading through the letters I sent home during my first couple of years in the US, first as an exchange student, then as an employee of the World Bank.

It’s hard to imagine ‘snail mail’ nowadays and having to wait 10-15 days for a response or reaction to something you wrote…

I was so naive back then but full of enthusiasm. Nothing like learning life lessons completely on your own and in the fly!
