Sunny Scarborough Sunday

In my memory most days of most Summers looked like this when I was a child.

Nowadays they are rare and often take people by surprise, but this one was well forecast and very much enjoyed.

This was nearly 6pm, by which time the beach would usually be empty as people head home or go for a meal, but today the fun just went on and on.

At its best the seaside is a place where total strangers joyfully share time and space and fun, in their own chosen way, and today was definitely one of those days.
