Foxgloves
I have noticed that the foxgloves are so abundant this year, they are all over the woods growing in places where I did not notice that they were growing last year. I took these this morning as I was out walking Xena, it was overcast which probably was better for the exposure of the colour but some golden light behind them would have been nice.
Then I went off to The Horton where we are holding our annual camera club exhibition, as it opens tonight as we had to do the hanging this morning. It did not take long and afterwards we had a cappuccino in the café there. There are large windows in the hall so there is a lot of light bouncing around causing reflections on the images (see first extra) but hopefully tonight it won't be too much of a problem. Everyone is allowed to have three images in the exhibition, mine can be seen in the 2nd extra, and I also have a 4th image included in a panel of award winners. Tonight is the opening when the mayor attends, and then there are drinks afterwards. Tommy and Gavin are coming with me to the event.
Luke and Meriel did well doing the coast to coast cycle challenge, 230km with 3200m elevation. Sore legs and sore bottoms as they are not used to cycling other than getting around London!
Regarding Tommy's exciting news, it involves some decision making so he has asked me not to say anything until he has made his decision.
