Tiny Feather
I'd put a penny in for scale but it would spoil the composition. I really liked the curve of the main shaft of the feather and the interlocking barbules on the barbs coming out of the main shaft. All designed for lightness, warmth and lift. The whole feather is about the size of a penny.
I had an appointment with a new dentist this morning., one which I made a couple of months ago. I finally gave up on the old one because he was never there . Without informing his clients, he sold his practice. I felt that the whole thing was rather disrespectful and I never liked him much anyway. I did like the hygenist who basically ran the place along with one receptionist.
My closet challenge today was to choose clothes that would work for Pilates on the floor (I could wear my pajamas for that!) a meeting with the new dentist (because I had barely time to get to the dentist after the class) and predicted 95F/35C temperatures. Just as I was about to walk out the door, the new dentiist's office called to say that their entire computer system was in meltdown, they couldn't do x-rays or enter findings or treatment plans and would have to reschedule my appointment. They couldn't even do that without their computer system, but promised to call as soon as it was fixed, and assured me that I would be a priority for a new appointment. A perfect example of how dependent everyone has become on computers and consequently what a disaster it can be if the system fails.
I haven't heard back from them but I did get an auto send text message thanking me for visiting and asking me how they did, so something slipped through the cracks, but not very useful to anybody....
It was too hot to go outside so I sat on the couch and appliqued hearts onto squares for the baby quilt I'm making, getting up from time to time to make potato salad for dinner to go with the chicken I hope John will barbecue . What we may have to turn on tomorrow is the air conditioning since it's supposed to be even hotter.
I sincerely hope that I can just flip the switch from 'heat' to 'cool' ....I'm beginning to have my own meltdown from grappling with various digital challenges.
